Hi I’m Ellen and I’m the creator behind Maximum Cross Stitch designs. I have been doing cross stitch and needlepoint for over 30 years and I think it’s fair to say that I am obsessed! While I have always designed my own pieces for myself or gifts, I only started designing charts to sell since November of 2022. There is nothing as wonderful as seeing my designs being stitched by people all over the world. It’s an absolute thrill.

When I am not designing or cross stitching, I am thinking about cross stitch, shopping for cross stitch supplies and wondering when I can get back to cross stitching. Otherwise I might be touring with my band, Crash Test Dummies (www.crashtestdummies.com for tour dates) or hanging out with my husband, our two dogs and three cats. Our house is basically held together with cat fur and dog drool. No one wants to visit.

I have a Youtube channel (a Flosstube) about my cross stitching adventures  called Maximum Cross Stitch Power Hour.
